Loake Hughes
Our Hughes is a premium semi-brogue, featuring Goodyear welted Leather Rubber soles for greater longevity and grip. Hughes uses the ‘Claridge’ last shape for a generous fit and bold toe shape, and is available in a F fitting. These shoes are designed and engineered in Kettering and made in our high-grade factory in India, using similar materials and finishing techniques as used in our Northamptonshire factory.
The Last
Claridge
Another versatile last shape, Claridge is used for both classic English styles and more contemporary shoes. Claridge is a medium width last which should run true to size. There is a little extra (cosmetic only) length in the toe of this last, which has a slightly rounded point.
The Style
Semi Brogue
Featuring a straight toe-cap with some light ‘punched’ decoration around the toe or wing-cap. A semi-brogue is an uncomplicated option for that classic, yet relaxed look, that works great with either a suit or chinos.
